Took the La Juanita loop trail. It is gorgeous and we'll worth the $8 parking fee. Bring your camera and water bottle. I want to go back soon

We stay at the Thornehill broome campsite every year. It's great, campsites are large and open. You have a full view of the ocean and all its wildlife. This trip we have seen humpback whales, dolphins, sea lions and pelicans. Great place to stay for the money. Arrive early for a good spot.

If your driving up the PCH this is a wonderful spot to stop to stretch your legs and take some photos. That's all the time we had, but I'd love to come back to enjoy the hiking and beach.

I really love this place. It provides options of hikes where you can do more if you want and stay flat if you want. Add to that the amazing views from the mountains and the ocean. Breathtaking! There's good /reasonable restroom in the area. If you like to camp there's also a place. There's daily fee to pArk 12usd for... More

I hiked to Mugu peak several times (Chumash trail?). Also hiking La Jolla Canyon and Ray Miller to the overlook trail. Typically you have a steep climb up until you get to a plain which is mostly just grass lands but the climb in has interesting rock formations, and interesting plant life. The recent fire however turned everything black on... More

Here it is. Views all over to enjoy. South of Pt Mugu Naval Air Station. Look across the water and check out sea lions on the beach of the Naval Air Station. It is a good place to enjoy on the way to someplace else.

I really enjoyed an afternoon of trail running here. What I really appreciated was NPS maintained Circle X Ranch building that had running water and restrooms. The facilities are a single building located on the south side of the road at 12896 Yerba Buena Rd. I accessed the trailhead about 1 mile further east on Yerba Buena Rd where there... More

The beach is fine, but he support services need improvement. A very busy beach, especially on weekends. The seals were busy playing in the surf and we caught a few pics of one chasing the waves just like a surfer. i was surprised my camera picked him up so far away. I have visited most of the beaches and this... More
