Wonderful port; great with chocolate or cheese.favourite stop on the Madera wine trail. The tasting room is big and roomy, landscaping is also pretty.

Enjoy there ports and wines. The Tappit is great if you are nearby or traveling through. Great tastes at a reasonable price, friendly staff and good wine club.

The atmosphere here is wonderful. The staff were very organized and friendly on the Madera Wine Trail for Valentines Day. Although I don't enjoy port which is their specialty, I did recognize that it was high quality and others in our Group LOVED them. Great Job Ficklin!

The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They are very proud of their outstanding wines and seem to truly enjoy sharing them with visitors. The drive in is beautiful, you'll find yourself surrounded by beautiful farmland. Highly recommended!

Some of the best wine I have tasted. I tend to the Cab, Merlot, Zin wines and their port is right there.

A lot has changed here at this winery. Changes for these best and they have been growing. Once a year they have stomp party where we pick, stomp, and then have lunch. This is a whole family event. Then they have what I call a perfect date night. Being a portfolio society member we are treated two times a year... More

This is a step back in time, before tasting rooms became standalone profit centers. You can taste any of their varieties (non-vintage, 10 year old, tawny, etc). And the staff are very friendly. We wound up buying more than we otherwise would have, simply because they acted like they wanted us to enjoy their product, instead of treating us like... More

The town of Madera wouldn't be visit worthy without this little gem. Throughly enjoyed our visit and made several purchases as well. It was by far the friendliest winery we visited.

Ficklin is well known for their port wines. They have a wide variety of them, all terrific. And it is a fun tasting room trying all the different ones and some great chocolates as well.
