In the heart of the Canadian Rockies, less than an hour’s drive from either Calgary or Banff, visitors find a golfing paradise. Kananaskis Country Golf Course is one of the premier golf destinations in the Canadian Rockies and second to none as a spectacular location for a golf vacation. Forming an unforgettable landscape, the rugged surrounding mountains tower 10,000 feet (3,000 metres) above sea level, the courses themselves are at almost 5,000 feet (1,500 metres). Situated in the Kananaskis Valley among boreal forest, the Mount Lorette and Mount Kidd Courses are named for the soaring limestone peaks that serve as their breathtaking backdrop. The Courses offer immaculate lush fairways, bent grass greens, over 140 silica sand bunkers, four sets of tee boxes, glacier fed creeks and ponds, the cascading Kananaskis River and a variety of wildlife.

Best deal in the rockies

If your from Alberta, it's literally the only 18 hole golf course in the rockies under $100 in the summer. Both Mt. Kidd and Lorette are good courses, but Kidd books up faster... read more

Favorite course in all of Canada. We have played both courses, coming back 2-3 times per year. Why pay $300 for Banff Springs when you can pay $90 for the same experience.

This golf course is closed INDEFINITELY due to flood damage. Please update this information for your customers as it is very misleading! Also the service and greeting was absolutely terrible, rude, and unnecessary. Very unprofessional.

Was a fabulous 2x18 course - one with lots of water and the other with lots of sand. The surroundings are breathtaking. Bunkers are filled with nice silica sand so aim for them to avoid the trees and lurking critters! Newbies and parties need to understand when to pick up their balls as pace of play IS MAINTAINED.

Not my first time golfing this track. I have done both courses in the past... I'm not good enough of a golfer to say this one is better or worse, I like both. Kidd has more Sand and Lorette has more water... but they both have plenty of each, it’s a great design that offers lots of challenges. Personally, I... More

If your from Alberta, it's literally the only 18 hole golf course in the rockies under $100 in the summer. Both Mt. Kidd and Lorette are good courses, but Kidd books up faster. The views are world class, conditions great, and layout good. Playing over deer is not uncommon. I would have one complaint on this course. The focus on... More

One of the worst rounds this season but it's likely that the beautiful surroundings were distracting. Got rained out after 13 holes but it was still a beautiful day. This is the best value for such a beautiful place to play golf.

We had a great round of golf at Kananaskis. The course is well run and well maintained and the scenery is incredible. There are two courses and we played Mt. Lorette. The course was challenging and a great deal of fun to play. We even got to see some wildlife dashing across the fairways! If you are a golfer, this... More

One of the most amazing locations for a golf courses. Complemntaty valet parking for golfers, two amazing courses, a great restaurant after the round, and very friendly staff. Enjoyable from start to finish. Make sure you take your camera to capture the majestic views of the moutains that surround the area.

Have played both mount Kidd and Mount Laurette. If you are looking for trees and elevation changes, Mt Kidd is amazing. If you are looking for a more forgiving layout, flatter, and unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains, Laurette is your course.
