Gorgeous vistas, not too strenuous but is a nice challenge. Some spots are rocky and require some climbing.

I love this hike. It is easy, has beutiful views and a waterfall. It coudl be a bit slippery at places so be careful.

Ever since we found this gem, we've returned many times throughout the year. The winter months tend to be damp and cold. The moisture keeps the forest cool, especially in the first part of the hike, around the beautiful rocks and moss-covered trees are majestic...More

Beautiful park with pretty well marked trails - some better than others. Lots to see, from beautiful vistas, waterfall, rock climbers, etc. New signs at parking lot trail head make it easy to choose an appropriate hike based on your fitness and the distance you...More

Extremely enjoyable place to have fun with friends or family. For an unplanned backpacking trip for locals, it can be an ideal place.

I hadn't been to Castle Rock in decades. The trails were well maintained and everything was green after the heavy rainy season. This park is always a great escape from the crowds and traffic in the valley and is only about 20 minutes from Saratoga.
