My experience is that the Flyaway bus stops at two or three central pickup stops at LAX. As others have written, when you exit the airport building at Alaska Airlines, the kerbside pickup is for taxi / hotel pickup. You will need to cross the undercover road to the next kerbside.I did not find the Flyaway Bus signage to be very prominent, so you may have to ask people waiting to be sure you are in the correct queue. As another has written, you need to be sure you get on the bus to Union Station, not another location. I found bus drivers to be in too much of a hurry to stop and answer questions. Look for signage on the bus window as well. It takes about 45 mins to get to Union Station, depending on road traffic. You will be dropped off at the back entrance of Union Station. It looks like the front but it is not. You will need to pay for the trip at Union Station ticket booth. Have your credit / debit card ready. Hopefully Flyaway has replaced the unfriendly female with a more friendly one behind the glass screen by now. You then show the ticket to the driver to collect your luggage. If you need a taxi to a hotel, you will need to walk through Union Station - good walk, preserved old building, which is a tourist attraction and is not crowded - to the other side where taxis wait. Enjoy the adventure!
