About Broadway Walking Tour Los Angeles
Dean Haglund, known for his role of Langly on The X-Files, is one of the few guides is also a resident of the downtown and lives in this fantastic area on a daily basis. He has a breadth of knowledge of the history of downtown Los Angeles and the early days of entertainment and Silent Film, long before Hollywood was the center of filming.

The tour is definitely worth doing whether you're a resident of L.A. or just visiting. Dean's knowledge of the neighborhood's history and in particular, the theaters, enriched my appreciation of these beautiful buildings and the stars that performed there. Very informative and entertaining at the same time!

Dean Haglund's familiarity with the history of the downtown buildings was incredible and infinite; my favorite was The Bradbury Building, which was used in sci-film BLADERUNNER (Dean had the footage to show us the exact scene on his iPad). Other tours were stopping to listen to Dean's information, which says a lot! I would take this tour again, simply because there was so much information to absorb, and I want to remember it all.

Dean Hagland's walking tour of downtown Los Angeles was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable and fun and incredibly generous with his time. He also took great care of my 78 year-old mother, pacing the tour accordingly, and charming her the entire time. I highly recommend taking his tour whether you're a tourist or an Angeleno; you'll learn so much more about the city and have a great time doing it.

i looked down Broadway and wasn't impressed. Then Dean took us down Broadway and I felt like we were living in history. I can't explain it but finding out about Biddy Mason, hearing about what used to be, peering inside these incredible buildings was..... Well, Inspiring!!! Thank you Dean!

Downtown LA is great. Walking tours are great. But when you combine a local who happens to be Dean Haglund, actor and comedian from the X files, then its going to be the best tour ever. Dean has a genuine love and respect for downtown Los angeles and its colorful history. We started at Grand park and the majority of the 1.5 hour tour centered around Broadway and the theater district. We walked fast and he talked fast, so the time passed quickly. It was overall a really fun tour that I would recommend to anyone who wants to know more about the city, its past and what is coming in the future. Dean in addition to being a great tour guide and comedian, has just completed a book a DTLA art book that you definitely want to check out.
