Established in 1934, when a dozen local farmers parked their trucks on an open field (once a dairy farm) to sell fresh produce to local residents, the Market has remained true to its roots ever since. With nearly 100 dining, shopping and grocery opportunities, Farmers Market has something for everyone. More than seventy-five years later the Farmers Market remains the one stop shop for every visitor’s needs.

When I lived in L.A. I loved visiting the Farmers Market just to stroll and see the beautiful displays of food and to have lunch and take home some fruit and veggies and bread for later enjoyment. I moved away from California and on a recent visit I enjoyed visiting the market. Now there is a fee to park but... More

There are so many options for lunch. It is almost overwhelming but so worth it. Any kind of food you may want is there. There is plenty of seating and clean restrooms are available.

Found this fun and busy. Food everywhere not for the diet conscious. It's worth a visit. Enjoy. Some of it is under cover and easy to walk around

So enjoyable especially during the holiday season. So many stores! It's always a big decision as to which way to go first!

Great place to pick up lunch or a snack more reasonably and with a great selection of all kinds of things. Lots of typical farmers market things. Shops were ok but not fabulous although there was an interesting jewelry shop. On a sunny day it felt a bit on the dark side. Great to pick up candy, etc.

Had a few hours to kill this week so decided to head down to the Farmers market attached to the Grove. Lots of fabulous food available from around the globe (I opted for pizza!) and relaxed at Bar 326 sampling their various ales. Great service, lovely clientel and a classy way to spend an afternoon.

Today, when all the cities with self-esteem provides a Farmers Market you will be a bit puzzled here. The farmers seem to have checked out a long time ago.But there is no shortage of food stalls, eateries from all over the world cuisine.Despite all worth a visit.

Starline was the Last Part of the tour. We were dropped by to Farmers Market. U will find a huge variety of good food like steaks, tacos, burgers, pizza and a lot more... there's also lots of local made items from watches to hand made Jewellery, bags, dream catchers... after couple of hours, the tour bus picked us up to... This institution has been in LA since the 30's. The restraurants and stalls are good but not unique. Usually a farmers market has stalls set up from nearby farms, not here. The ice cream places are fabulous though. Park in the Grove parking garage and walk overto the market.
