ComedySportz is the longest running show in Los Angeles now in it's 20th year. Not comedy about sports; it’s comedy PLAYED as a sport! Two teams of our improvisers compete for laughs and points in a comedy competition. There are fouls to keep the show from being in poor taste; there’s even one to make a player apologize for telling lame jokes! The show is always completely interactive, and suitable for all audiences.

I've been going to ComedySportz since I was in high school (2006) and CSz LA always offers a great evening of laughter. They have their flagship show ComedySportz which is competitive team improv, but then they also have genre focused shows like Chickspeare (an all-female cast improvising in the style of Shakespeare) and The Resistance (an improvised action movie) and... It was easy to find and parking on the street was easy. The comedians were all very talented and sharp and they were very nice in including the birthday party of young teenage girls that were there. There was a lot of audience participation and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

FREE birthday admission for your birthday month~ Sign up on their email list. This is the only comedy club I have found so far that is all "clean jokes". Perfect place to bring your kids with you. I love their improv, all the performers are very talented. They offer classes too! No drinks minimum required. They do sell drinks/snacks at... More

We spent a great two hours here at ComedySportz. Small Theater on a quiet street with street parking. Entertaining Inprov. No grossness however. Fun to see these kids coming up with smart ideas. Engaging to the audience without making you uncomfortable . Nice patio in the back. Lovely restaurant on the corner for dinner/drinks pre or post. Could go as... More

Every other comedy show I could find in LA sells alcohol, which enforces a 21+ age restriction. THIS place is family friendly! Two teams face each other in a competition of quick wits and improv comedy, and they are GOOD. It runs 7 days a week, but try to get places for Friday and Saturday. They have more pros coming... Very cute, family friendly show. Of the 7 improv comedians, 4 were great, the rest beginners. Considering how difficult improv looks, they should be bigger than they are!

Went there Sunday night with friends. We had a wonderful time. Really funny and not at the expense of raunchy. Would highly reccomend it.

Visited this place yesterday, Friday Nov. 30th, 2012. Loved it! Small theater space, with two teams of 3 improv comedians each. Each team competes to be the funniest. (We went to the 8 pm show. Every night is a different set up, with different teams of comedians.) I've never laughed so hard for so long! I had tears streaming down... More

There are a lot of improv comedy troupes in L.A., but I've been going to see ComedySportz since high school -- long before they had their own snazzy theater -- so I guess I'm a devoted fan of these guys. I laugh my butt off every time! The talent of these actors/comedians can stand up to any of the best... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
