We were at the La Brea Tar Pits and decided to visit here as it was across the road. This museum is very small so it doesn't take a long time to do. But it's interesting and always good to support smaller artists. The gift...More

Some lovely and interesting things but I was hoping that it would be a bit bigger and the restaurant is no longer there. However, I enjoyed what they had on exhibit there and would recommend. Takes less than an hour. Some other restaurants are near...More

The Craft and Folk Art Museum (CAFAM) is a somewhat hidden treasure in the museum district of LA, right across the street from the La Brea Tar Pits and the Page Museum and only a couple of blocks from LACMA (the LA County Museum of...More

As an admirer of all things folk art, I looked forward to visiting the museum when in Los Angeles and was disappointed. There are only two gallery spaces and the exhibits were sparse. Great gift shop but that wasn't what I came for.

Often our alternative to behemoth LACMA, CAFAM is a more manageable size and always seems to have 2 incredibly interesting exhibits. Often good with curious kids too. Nifty gift shop too.

Elevator available to get you upstairs to galleries. Nice gift shop. Lovely book exchange area curated by local retired librarians. Museum participates...More

Was there fore the Bin Pho exhibit. A very nicely curated small museum. It has two rooms of changing exhibits and an outside area for demonstrations. Very small but very worthwhile. Good to combine with the La Brea Tar Pits or Museum of Art which...More

Very small museum with 2 floors of gallery space, figure on no more than an hour and a half visit. Your enjoyment quotient of this museum will be based almost entirely on the rotating shows on display. I thought their curator did an excellent job...More
