We visited mainly for the Jim Henson exhibit, which is awesome, but looked at the other exhibits while we were there and wished we had more time to read everything as they were excellent. Would like to return in the future.

If you are on the west side, by all means visit the Skirball. Its exhibits vary but have always been fascinating -- Leonard Bernstein now. There's a pleasant restaurant up there too, fine for lunch.
