Fun little outing

Brought the grand-kids for an outing- they enjoyed the rides and the zoo. Noting spectacular to me,but the children had a great time...and that's what it's about.k

This is perhaps one of the best places to bring your family in Sac area. Fun Town is fun for all ages, especially if you enjoyed visiting Ponderosa Ranch (Bonanza) when it was open. I think it has an edge over Funderland because it has more mojo. I have never visited this place, but my extended family have visited an... More

This park is full of beautiful shade trees. The amusement park is very small, but adequate for young children.

We had the place literally to ourselves the summer day we took our grandchildren here, ages 3 and 5 years of age. There was one operator for all of the rides and he followed us around to operate whatever ride the kids wanted. They had a good time, but I would not recommend it for older children. It's all kiddie... More

Small rides, big amusement! Surrounded in a much larger park that is called Micke Grove Park. This park contains not only Funtown, but a Chinese garden, a small outdoor cafe (lunch!) and a zoo. Littles and biggies alike will enjoy Funtown for its vintage charm. Just enough rides to not make mommy and daddy go batty.

There for a family visit and brought the kids to the zoo. It's small but cute and the kids (ages 2, 4, 5, 7) had fun. Not expensive to get in ($5 for adults and $3 for kids) and a few play areas. Lots and lots of birds!

This took 2hrs, most of which was spent feeding the parrots. Not a big zoo, but a very big park. $6 to park any where, and the zoo was an additional $5/adult and $3/child. There is a Frisbee golf course, multiple playgrounds, splash pad, lots of shade trees and picnic tables in the park surrounding the zoo.

The rides cater to the youngsters and there are ones available for all ages. At $2 to $4 per ride, a twenty dollar bill last for a while.

I liked the Lodi Wine Country ambiance, my daughters wedding at the Wine and Roses Hotel, the dinner and beer at the Lodi Beer Company, a visit to the zoo in Micke Grove State Park. lunch at the Dancing Fox Winery and Bakery in Lodi, day trip to Sacramento and the Crocker Art Museum and the California State Railroad Museum... While it doesn't do much for me, it was worth the price to watch my Grandkids have fun. This attraction is just another reason why Mickey Grove Park is a nice place to go.
