Although the scenery is gorgeous, the ground is too hard to drive a stake to secure a tent. Plus, it can get extremely windy by the lake so the tent is very unstable. Overall, not my best camping experience.

Great campsite for a stop on the way to Tucson. Lovely view of the lake and mountain. Saw people fishing for the freshly stocked trout. Pelicans, ducks and a lovely sunrise. Good star gazing.

Interesting man made lake. Outdoor pool (not open when we were there), children's playground, occasional mountain sheep, fishing allowed but no swimming. Worth a visit

Good for a picnic. Wonderful views of the mountains. Don't expect to swim. It is a reservoir. If you're lucky, you'll have a wildlife sighting. I saw a 6 ft. Rosy Boa. Be nice and don't touch the wildlife.

This was a great hike with several easy trails for the entire family. The scenery is fantastic and definitely worth a morning hike... before it gets too hot.

I almost don't want to leave a review because this place seems like a well kept secret. Reserve an RV spot right by the lake, set up some chairs and marvel at the amazing view of the turquoise blue lake and the rocky mountains. It's...More

This is a reservoir not a lake. But it's kinda pretty! easy to camp at, good sites (no sewer), quiet if you're not parked next to a dog that barked all night... fire pits and tables. Where they get extra snaps for me is the...More

Fairly easy hike with some up and downs and a skinny path at times. Says it's 2.4 miles but our GPS said it was 3.0 miles. It took as 3 hours at an easy pace to go there and back. Good view from high midpoint,...More

I don't think they are, but I took mine there in the winter to the little beach and let him frolic in the water. I think it is worse when there are lots of people. I know they are VERY serious about the leash thing. There... More
