I almost don't want to leave a review because this place seems like a well kept secret. Reserve an RV spot right by the lake, set up some chairs and marvel at the amazing view of the turquoise blue lake and the rocky mountains. It's absolutely stunning. The park itself is well-kept and the hosts are friendly. The only weird... More

This is a reservoir not a lake. But it's kinda pretty! easy to camp at, good sites (no sewer), quiet if you're not parked next to a dog that barked all night... fire pits and tables. Where they get extra snaps for me is the Passport America rate of $15 per night. They have primitive camping spots that are that... More

Fairly easy hike with some up and downs and a skinny path at times. Says it's 2.4 miles but our GPS said it was 3.0 miles. It took as 3 hours at an easy pace to go there and back. Good view from high midpoint, you see both starting points. Take plenty of water if it's a sunny day!

Grounds are well kept and it is a beautiful spot to have picnic. It was a bit hard to find for first time visitors, bur once you arrive it is well worth it. Saw variety of water fowl and enjoyed out afternoon.

We paid our park use fee of $6 each, and looked for a fun outdoor experience. Of course , this is November so we expected it to be quiet. The park ranger at gate was very helpful, and helped orient us to a hiking trail. However, I stopped in my tracks when I heard many series of loud gun shots!... More

This is a very nice recreation area! Lots of room, nestled against the foothills with a nice view of the surrounding area. Quiet and somewhat remote, this is a place to go for any kind of relaxation, hiking, biking, running, picnicking or just sitting around. The lake is stocked, so fishing is also available. Lots of parking and even an... More

This is a beautiful place to enjoy the weather and the wonderful surroundings. We have been here a number of times with friends to have picnics and family gatherings in a wonderful place where everyone in the family can enjoy themselves.

I live only a half mile form this great recreation area. The lake area is assessable for only $6. per car. There are picnic areas and a huge swimming pool during the summer. If you have a fishing license, the lake has stocked fish. Many people drive around to a quiet spot and back up the tail gate to the... More

There are nice hiking trail all over the Coachella Valley. These are easy to reach and follow, but nothing special. Some nice views of the valley below, but most of the other trail have that too.

For us this was a much more relaxing area to camp than the RV parks we had used previously. In February, even with the Date Festival going on, there was still plenty of room for our last minute reservation. A bonus was the proximity to hiking trails including a 2+ mile walk around the lake. There is no swimming in... More
