Went out of respect for my Dad, who was a highly decorated WWII vet. Mt. Soledad is a memorial dedicated to those service men and women who have served their country in time of war. Yes, any war. There is even a memorial plaque to...More

This is an outstanding site with views south to the city of San Diego and west to the Pacific Ocean and La Jolla. Beautiful.

Great view of the San Diego Metroplex. Also a Midway stop between Mission Bay/Pacific Beach area and La Jolla. Features memorials of veterans including former President Teddy R.

Nice to share an intimate moment at the shrine dedicated to the soldiers. Great view. You can park fairly close to the top. Some volunteers at the site offered up some good history.

What started as a cross on a hill is now a remarkable memorial to the men, women and animals that serve our country. There is some parking but if you are visiting in the afternoon you'll likely need to use a secondary lot. People come...More

Fantastic views of southern Cali and northern Mexico coast and coastal mountains. Also a nice spot to give thought to our service people.

I few years ago liberals tried to tear down this cross. They were unsuccessful. The cross and the land is a shrine to the fallen heros that gave their lives so that we all can be free!

This spot is one of the highest spots in San Diego, the drive up was wild as the streets are narrow and cars treat it like a normal street! Once you get up there you see the majestic beauty of the area. Please make time...More

It doesn’t take long at all. It’s really up to you how long you decide to stay. We were probably there walking around for 45 mins.
