Found this little gem when we were looking for a place to watch the sunset on the way home from dinner. It was our last night, wished we would have found it earlier, would definitely came back during the day to hang out.

Clean beach! Beautiful surf. We went during the week and the beach was not very crowded. Stairs are available to access beach.

We were able to snag a street parking space a couple of blocks away. The beach was crowded on a Saturday afternoon in June. We enjoyed clambering over rocks, watching people jump off rocks into the Pacific Ocean, cooling off in the water, and just people watch in general. The beach was clean. However, there is no restroom.
TIP: Walk a little further onto the rocks to avoid the crowds.

Gorgeous, what else do I need to say. It was a nice cool day, cloudy with a nice breeze. Don’t get this in Iowa, best part about my trip so far.

Unlike everyone else in NW Arkansas who flock to Destin, our beach preference is Windansea.

Definitely more of a relax and enjoy the view beach than swimming due to the breaks and currents. Beach has always been clean - and doesn’t stink, Parking is limited but we usually walk from our Airbnb. Rock formations are pretty cool and some tide pools. Seen photographers and dogs just about every time we’ve been there. Beach usually isn’t crazy crowded or wild - sunset brings a crowd. I don’t think I’ve ever been and there weren’t surfers out. I like that it’s located close to The Shack or the Taco Stand to grab good food. No bathrooms/shower.

Sunsets here are the best!

My only con: I forgot my fav Marc Jacobs sunglasses on a ledge one night and they were washed away…otherwise, nothing but love for Windansea!

I walked along the road above this beach and sat and watched the surfers. It was a beautiful place to relax.

Not always easy to park, but incredible views of the sunset! The rock formations are amazing and you usually can catch surfers enjoying the waves.

We stayed 5 nights overlooking this beach, just steps away, and loved it. It’s where the kids (8,9,10) wanted to be for a majority of our trip. They loved climbing on the rocks and “jumping” the waves. We did not let them go in the water too far. The waves were huge and close to shore. The sunset and people / surfer watching was an above and beyond cool experience. The area within walking distance was really nice as well.

Windansea beach is by far my most favorite beach in San Diego County. Depending on the tide, every single day gives us a different feel for the beach, whether it be that only the cliffs are accessible or at lower tide when the sand is accessible. It's incredibly picturesque and such a perfect location for family, couples or maternity photography sessions. This is my go-to location to bring my clients for maternity photos. Parking is generally not too much of an issue - street parking is available and I have never had to park more than one block away. Be advised that there are no public bathrooms.

One of the few places that mesmerized me from the get-go. Beautiful rock formations, crazy strong waves, surfers, and stunning sunsets. I'm in love with this place!
