The scenery is great in summer. Everywhere is green and you can get the great view of the mountain ranges of Nagano. It is just between Nagano and Gunma. I took a bus up and hike back to the town.

This spot and the dual temple are a cool spot to visit. It is always fun to get a photo with one foot in one prefecture and one in the other. On a super clear day you can see out towards Tokyo in one direction and Mt. Fuji in another. I haven't found any of the restaurants up at the top here to be that great, so perhaps plan a meal elsewhere if this is part of a day trip or outing.

Beautiful Autumn leaves

You can enjoy beautiful scenery if you choose footpaths which is called Usuitoge uranhodo. It takes around 40 minutes to walk down the footpath.
Though it is difficult for us to find this

Unforgettable

The view from this lookout is unforgettable. Its amazing. I trekked up a trail for about 1.5 hours to get here and it was a lot of fun! But come prepared for narrow and slippy walk ways if you decide to walk up. Otherwise a bus runs up to the lookout point from the train station. (make sure you check the timetable before hand as I believe the bus is seasonal)

Awesome view on the top of the hill.

It was really interesting drive up to the hill top. Very narrow roadway allowing one mid size car to pass at certain points. Google map's direction is very accurate.

It was very windy and the view was simply captivating.

We went there because my grandson said this route is in the games they play so he wanted to see if it looks exactly the same. It was the same he said and he felt satisfies as if he won the car race games already.
