Khan Jahan Ali was a Suni Muslim preacher or saint, who passed away at 1459. He was buried in a tomb that was built by him. Opposite the tomb is a man made pond, with many crocodiles. His tomb is taken care by his followers. Such a beautiful and ancient place. Few tourists and many locals do visit this place frequently. Entry is free. Close to the tomb is a small mosque as well.

Adjacent to a large tank, this busy tomb is nicely proportioned and adored by the local people. Visiting this tomb not only allows you to see a beautiful structure, but you get to observe how people still worship at the shrine.

The Mausoleum or tomb of Saint Khan Jahan Ali is located on the northern bank of a huge water tank called thakur dighi, about 2km east-southeast of Sait Gumbad Mosque. It is popularly called the dargah complex of Kkhan Jahan Ali & consists of the square tomb building of Khan Jahan himself; a sarcophagus of Muhammad Tahir, his diwan; a single-domed mosque and the so-called kitchen. The Saint’s tomb accommodates a stone built sarcophagus in the middle of the floor & actual grave underneath. The sarcophagus is profusely engraved with verses from the holy Quran, Persian expressions & date 27 Zilhaz,863AH of the Saint’s demise. We visited this place to pay respect & seek mercy of the Almighty Allah.

The most acclaimed historical place in Bagerhat. Located outside the town. The tomb of the religious saint Khan Jahan Ali is located here. The compound also had a very large pond called Khan Jahan Ali Dighi which is considered as sacred. The pond also had crocodiles in it. A must watch while visiting Khulna Division. Be careful from the local cheaters.
