Went with a friend who is a member of the Julian Historical Society. It is amazing that the small town has gathered such a large complete display of their early history. Many objects and photos telling the story of families that were here in the...More

$3.00 donation to enter is great value. The lady at the door was extremely welcoming and full of additional anecdotal information. The museum contains artefacts, pictures and text that describes the beginnings of Julian in the mid 1800's up until more modern times. The old...More

A delightful museum with classic Americana. Vintage wagons, washing machines, ice boc, clothing, toys, dolls, telephones, and so much more. The best part was the charming associate who guides us through our tour.

We had one person using a walker and she and was able to experience this site. There were a few steps to get into the building. If we needed to, we could have used the wheelchair inside. The woman docent was very friendly and knowledgeable....More

It's nothing to write home about, but if you're in Julian, you should definitely stop by. It's full of memorabilia and apparently they have decided to keep everything old and dusty to reflect it's age. It's a cheap activity and centrally located. Boring for kids,...More

There is lots to look at here but not well displayed. Old dusty place but does seem to fit the things in it. Only $3.00 so it's still worth a visit.

We figured this would be a good, restful activity for us and our seven-year old during our visit to Julian. While the building is crammed full of interesting items, there is almost no context provided, so it has the feeling of an old rummage sale...More

I've been here a few times over the years and always enjoy looking at the many historic items on display from the town in its mining days. I highly recommend it if you're strolling around Julian to get a little more immersed in its history.
