Such views! It's sad to see the wildfire damage but it's also hauntingly beautiful!!! I was so impressed!

Chose to drive through mountains rather along coast. Loved the journey . A wonderful detour. Gave us a taste of the beautiful Californian countryside.

Just about a 45 Minute Drive out of Downtown San Diego the Cuyamaca Mountains is an easy getaway! The scenic drives and the lake Cuyamaca offers so much to see. Stop by Near by Julian and drive down to the Anza Borrego Desert too!

Quiet and beautiful Lake for fishing or a picnic. Beautiful scenery and a bike trail that circles the lake. Good hiking also. There is a restaurant (you can buy fishing permit and bail there also.)
