It's a great spot to stop when driving towards or back from the desert! The people who work there are very friendly and the rock garden is pretty cool too!

On our drive from Imperial, CA to San Diego, my colleague and I stopped to look at the tower. The views from the tower were breathtaking! There is a fee which wasn’t high. Across of the tower, there is a boulder park with some of...More

Be sure to take the In-Ko-Pah exit and swing by the Desert View Tower! The folks that run the place are too cool, there's plenty of dogs to accompany you on your tour, and the sights are amazing from the top! Don't forget to stop...More

Didn't know anything about it as we came in the east side of the South Rim - wow! This should be a stop for everyone for the view and the incredible history/origin of this unique place. The architect was, also, commissioned to add multiple structures...More

Unfortunately we got there too early to go up in the tower after watching sunrise at Moran Point but enjoyed the views and historical information anyway. Large parking area, accessible bathrooms and water container refill station. About 1/4 walk down well paved path to tower....More

We stopped at the awesome In-Ko-Pah Tower on a road trip. The inside of the tower is a flash back to the past in the most amazing way. It has minerals, books, pianos and other groovy decorations while overlooking the beautiful dessert view. Our teens...More

We walked around the site, but didn't go up in the tower. The weather was hazy and we didn't think we would see much.

You can see this as you come up I-8 going southbound. Take the next exit and you’ll pass some interesting vehicles along your way back to the tower. It’s only a mile or so back. From the tower and parking area, the views are amazing!...More

No, it's not that type of place. It's a view point to look at the Imperial Valley etc.. There are short walks n really cool carvings to look at but you have to go down to the valley to get your Off-road Grove On..
