This old store/buildIng sits along side hWY 49 just outside Jackson. You can't get out and walk around it as it is enclosed by a fence to keep people away. So, I guess it is best seen from the highway.

It is very interesting to see what buildings looked like in the olden days. It is a thought provoking structure. It is cool to imagine life back then.

This quaint old building is on the roadside. Interesting to look at for a few minutes, but not inviting to explore further.

This is a great histric building, but it is completely fenced in and there is only a small area to park where the Historic marker is located.

A wonderful building as many are in this neck of the woods! it is restricted access and in the middle of nothing one would do as good with the Wiki tour as opposed to seeing it live....

I have driven by this frame work of an old store from gold times. There isn't much to see and you can't get access, but it is Americana!

Thanks to folks in Amador County, this Gold-rush era stone store still is standing and it's conveniently located right along the Golden Chain Highway just a couple of miles south of Jackson!

This is a great gold-rush era building; but very dangerous to visit. The front of the building is located on the white-fog line of a very busy State highway. No place to park, except on the very edge of the highway. You cannot walk into...More
