LA and OC are sadly too stingy to share their beautiful miles of beaches with our dogs. So it wasn't easy finding a location to share our holiday with our dog. This beach turned out to be completely clean and long enough for great off-leash...More

One of the only beaches in Southern California that allows dogs to roam freely off leash. Avoid in the summertime on the weekends. Unless you like wife beater wearing pit bull owners by the dozen pulling up in Monster trucks.

Unique to Cali, this stretch of beach is designated for our 4-legged friends to have fun in the sand and sun. Situated just north of Goldenest, stretching up towards Bolsa Chica beach, one can bring their dog on or off-leash for some ocean fun, but...More

Our furry friend, Freddie, the long-haired Chihuahua, had a grand old time romping on the beach and interacting with the other dogs. The water was cool and refreshing, and the beach spotless; a great day for all!

The area is not fenced in -- it depends upon natural barriers to keep the dogs in: the ocean, the cliff between the sand and the road. If your dog tends to take off, it may not be the safest place for her. I have seen dogs... More
