They have group classes and private lessons as well. It is right near the lake so you get an awesome view of the lake as you ski down. They have some good small beginner slopes that you can practice in before taking the chair lift...More

Superb Green run called Rainbow Ridge from the summit down towards the Lake. You get some of the best views around Lake Tahoe. Then as you warm up on this long run you get to ski the exhilarating Diamond Black of The Face back down...More

Went up with a friend for an impromptu ski trip. Great prices. Great people. I am not an advance skier, so I could care less about black diamonds. I like not having to wait in line at the lift and not being run over by...More

We skied three days: Day 1 - t-shirt skiing Day 2 - rain/slush Day 3 - a foot of powder All three days were fun (obviously day 3 was the best). Really enjoyed the laid back staff and uncrowded mountain. Our 5 year old beginner...More

We loved homewood, having skied all the big resorts this the low key, family centered was just lovely. No boarders or skiers 'tearing' it up which was important to us as we were skiing with our children who are only in their second year. No...More

How about you announce the road is closed to your ski area before we have to re-route? Well since it's only two hours the other way who cares. I guess Homewood could give a refund, but that takes the criminality out of the equation. What...More

Outstanding views and the terrain was a nice surprise. Good variety from beginner to expert. A big issue are the lifts. S. l..o..w..e..s..t lifts ever. Makes it an unlikely return visit.

There is no dedicated sled slopes. They may, once a while, groom areas around the base for sledding. But need to call to confirm. And that usually is off peak days.
