A little piece of heaven on earth. Stunning views and beach, isolated so very quiet. Turtles swimming by. Highly recommend Gloucester Resort for a day visit, pool, lunch in the deck, great bar and on the beach. Can’t wait to visit again.

Nice beach at the right tide. Too low and you have to walk out on the reef to swim. Ruins the view as well. Had a snorkel from the beach but only saw sea grass. Good for a Turtle but couldn't see turtles either.

A beautiful beach with very few people on it. The nicest place to relax and take a picnic. So glad we made the 45 minute journey to visit it.

We had such an amazing adventure in search of beautiful beaches and we ended up in Hideaway Bay and found a lovely headland (known as Blackcurrant Island from research) from a 4WD sandy track just south of Dingo beach which got us there.
We ended up eating our picnic lunch on the little headland after we scaled the rocks to find a flat area! What a stunning view!

We spent a couple of days exploring the area with our teenage boys. What a gorgeous part of the world! Beautiful clear water, reef just off the beach, fishing, beach combing! Lovely rocks and coastal areas to explore. People were using jet skis, boats and kayaks. Lovely area which is not over crowded or over developed. No town water so no taps at the park - houses here have water tanks. Small playground and table/shelter but not a lot of foreshore facilities like some other beaches. Two resorts up the road which welcome day visitors for food or drinks, and a caravan park. Nearby Dingo beach has a kiosk and pub.

What a fabulous spot! We spent a glorious afternoon on the beach and swimming at this amazing location. Lovely drive from Airley Beach, past sugar cane plantations and farm land. We finished off the afternoon with cold beers in the resort off the beach, bliss! Before leaving we were entertained by a sky full of sky divers come to land on the beach.

My wife and I have visited here several times over the years and have always enjoyed the tranquility and beautiful scenery this lovely beach has to offer. Being well off the beaten track this beach has never been crowded and offers the perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy the surroundings. A large area of low rocks at one end is exposed at low tide and has provided us with some beautiful shell specimens over the years. Well worth the effort made to drive here, so don't miss it on your travels around NQld.

A secluded beach in Bowen offering peaceful swimming and relaxed beach time. True to its name it is a gem hidden away.

This is a beautiful bay and “off the beaten track”. The day we were there it was incredibly quiet with probably only 20 other people on several kilometres of beach.
The tide was out and our kids had a great time playing in the shallows, exploring and investigating the in shore corals and rocks.
Don’t expect Whitehaven sand as it was quite course but perfect for lying down and relaxing or building sandcastles.
