The 2 ton hedge hog sculpture in the front yard is what initially caught our attention. Yes, you can move the sculpture, affectionately known as Lord Snort, as it is built on a pivot. The building is a restored brick building and very comfortable. The wines are liked by all in our group that sampled them. We arrived near closing... More

We got to Soda Rock late - despite our lateness the staff was so welcoming and friendly. The wine was good and the ambiance was great.

A very unique setting for a winery. The winery is located in an old western style building that was built in the 1800's. The inside is beautiful with a large bar and interesting decor. There is a large room that is a perfect venue for weddings overlooking the vineyards. There are several photos of weddings that have been held on... More

We stopped here on the wine carriage tour and thoroughly enjoyed it, all the wines are good, but the reds are amazing. When we first stopped we were struck by how beautiful the site is, the old building used to be the Alexander Valley general store in the 1800s and the grounds are stunning. The folks behind the vintage bar... More

This is a newer winery and I thought it would take a while, but the pleasant surprise is that they not only make excellent wine, but they make a ton of different wines, and they are ALL good! The venue is unique as well, it's an old old building that has been revived and made over, great place for a... More

Driving along the highway 128 you first see the huge wooden wine-barrel with rusted metal hoops, the entry to Soda Rock. Once on the grounds it’s a combination of shingled buildings and a 150-year old western stone façade…and upon entering the big open tasting room the interior is sparse. I was told by the counter-gal that the huge wooden bar... More

The buildings are quite interesting when seen from the road. They look like an old Western mining town. The interior is sparse, but shows some old wines. The staff however, seem preoccupied. While there were four people, they seemed much more interesting in talking and joking among themselves, that actually telling you anything about the wines, the winery or taking... More

Soda Rock is another winery owned by the Wilsons (Wilson Artisan Wineries). Ken bought this old winery and completely gave it a face lift. Now it is a modern tasting room and event facility with an old time feel. Very nice. Wines are excellent, I especially like The General Cabernet. The other offerings are good as well. This winery features... More

What a great place to taste some amazing wines. I visit here a lot because the people are great, but most importantly for the wines. I have never had a bad experience here.
