This was my husband and I's first stop in Sonoma County and it set the bar high! Preston helped us with our tasting and was amazingly knowledgeable and very friendly. We were so impressed with the Pinots that we joined their wine club! We enjoyed a bottle out on the lawn and had a spectacular view of the valley below.... More

The setting is beautiful atop the hill and the welcome was genuine. We samples some outstanding wines with paired cheeses and had a pleasant and informative conversation with our host - about the area, about wine-making and about the uniqueness Ed's of Copain Vineyards...I highly recommend others to make the stop.

The guide/host was one of the most self-satisfied, arrogant, smug, and unpleasant people I have ever had the displeasure of associating with. Copain Wines management, if you're reading this: it's the beautiful blond boy, 23 years old, who can't wait to tell you how he didn't go to college, and has already had careers as a paramedic and the regional... we did a couple of wine tasting and this was our favorite, it is not busy and we were offered dried fruits cheese and salami to taste with the wines which made the tasting way more interesting. The view from the winery is amazing over the valley too.

This is a mixed review. Esposa and I came with 2 other couples. This was our first of three wineries as part of an Eastside Meets Westside experience, which included lunch and three library tastings at $200/person. STAFF: 5 stars. Talk about nice, positive, and energetic. Yup, these are the guys. They look like GQ magazine cover models, but are... More

Very nice location overlooking the rolling hills. Tastings are held in various locations - chairs overlooking the hills, tables outside under sun umbrellas, tables outside on the patio. Everyone was very pleasant and it was peaceful and relaxing to be there. Reservations required. Tasting fee forgiven if you purchase. Mainly Pinos and Chardonays.

Nice touch having someone invite you to a Copain tasting. Views from the deck area are outstanding and their wines are excellent. Tasty bits accompanied each selected wine. Go if you can.

While the view is nice and the wine is nice, the tasting fee is in my view excessive and they will NOT apply to purchase of wines. This coupled with the rather high price of the wine adds up to a low rating.

Beautiful winery with an amazing view. We did the Single Vineyard tasting. The staff was great, and so was the wine. Would highly recommend this tasting experience with the matching cheese plate.
