This is not a zoo, just a rehabiltation center for animals. So all the animals in the center are local to the area. The place is not that big, and therer are not that many animals. But both the admission and the parking are free....More

There are a few large zoos in Bay area, but this might be a good alternative. It's small (and free!) but it provides a better emotional connection. There are stories behind the animals. Also, it's less crowded and less distraction. Great nature center!

This is a fun and perfect place to bring small children. It is peaceful and secluded. They do great events for kids birthdays.
