Excellent way to spend a nice weekend. Breath-taking views of nature at its best. Suitable to all people of interests, from rigorous hiking to just enjoying the scenery. Free to small fee for parking.

We visit the park regularly being just a couple of miles away. Plenty of trails for all ages and fitness levels. The highlight for me is the pond. You can walk out to the dock and enjoy the quiet , except for the conversational quacks from the local duck population.

This regional park is located on the hillside above Hayward. The park has plenty of parking and nice restrooms. There are hiking trails and large fields. Several sites offer BBQs and picnic tables for families and groups.

There are several old farm implements on display. Nice wild flowers and green rolling hills.

Garin Park is one of numerous regional parks, easily accessible from Hayward and other nearby towns. For now, with private land above, the hiking trails mostly circle back to the major tralheads, and don't reach the major ridge above.

Some areas, especially on weekends, can get crowded. That includes the main picnic areas, and the obvious trails above.
Other trails, such as through the Ziele Creek canyon, can be almost empty of people.

The main area charges a fee for parking, but only at busy times.

We enjoyed visiting this combination regional park of Garin/Dry Creek. For Garin, there is a wonderful hike to the top of the hills to see a stunning view of San Francisco Bay. There is also a barn, farm equipment, and nice places for a picnic. There is lots of trails.

We also liked Dry Creek in particular the garden area which is also where there is also a park ranger residence. The gardens are stunning. Note: We visited in the spring where the flowers were in full bloom. There is some very intriguing cactus there as well.

This is a gorgeous park to go to and as its less known than others its usually easy to find a parking spot.

Beautiful regional park open everyday. Open green space to picnic, barbecue, walk or just relax. It has amazing views of the whole bay area. me and my family love it. during the weekdays no fee to enter. On the weekend I believe there is a small fee just to park the car.

Garin and Dry Creek on next to each other. We were on our way to Garin Regional Park when we saw an entrance to Dry Creek Park. I tried to find an address for Dry Creek but no luck. Dry Creek has free parking while Garin may charge $5 and $2 for your dog. We didn't have time to visit Garin Park after we spent a few hours at Dry Creek. It seems not many people visit Dry Creek Park but they are missing out. Once you leave the parking lot you walk up the driveway to the gate of Dry Creek Cottage Gardens, its open Thursdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free. Once you walk though the gate you will see a two-acre garden with many flowers and plants you can see as you walk along pathways and cross over a couple of small bridges. There are places to sit along the way but the benches haven't been keep up. After we left the gardens we turn right then took a left at the fork and started walking up the trail that lead to a great view of the bay. We were looking for a pond but turn back because we just got worn out from the sun and walking up and up and up. There are a few hiking trails you can choose from. I would recommend using a bathroom before you come to the park they do have an out-house and I did use it. The garden and cottage is located at the end of May Road off Mission Boulevard in Hayward and the parking lot is open all week until dusk.

Garin and Dry Creek are two regional parks that are next to each other. There are multiple hiking trails, the ones in Garin has little shade, and many Dry Creek trails have shade. Parking at Dry Creek is free (trailhead off Mission Blvd). Garin charges for parking when booth is manned, and is at a higher elevation. Tolman Peak in Dry Creek was where United 615 crashed in 1951.

If your looking for some place quiet and peaceful to spend quality time with family or friends this is the place to be! Great to go walking or hanging out at one of the many picnic tables. Reasonably clean restrooms - they could 've been better.

From a pretty pond, to wind-blown ridges, woods, hils and picnic grounds this place has something for everyone. No admission charge during the week. Trails vary from very steep to flat. A few creeks run through the lower parts, some low during the summer.
Not as many ticks as some other places but they are there in the spring and summer.
Our dogs love it. There are grazing cattle but easy to avoid.
