About
We are a small family owned winery located in the heart of the Sonoma Valley. We believe that single vineyard wines make for the most interesting and satisifying drinking! Since the early 1990's we've constantly looked for those vineyards that provide a great match between terroir and varietal. The result is an array of small batch, single-vineyard wines that meet our criteria. Whether the vineyard is in Sonoma or Napa, or our own estate, our pledge to you is that we will produce a collection of wines that are always interesting, always compelling and always delicious. Making over 20 varitals of wine there is always something you can find that fits your taste here at Mayo!

We loved the wine and food pairing. Great experience! We enjoyed it thoroughly. Our group was composed of people from 25 years old to 80. We all had a great feast to our palates. We will come back!

My wife and I came to Mayo as part of a tour of Napa wineries and were so glad our company Platypus selected it. It is a smaller, family owned winery and we were given a tour and tasting that felt very VIP. Our host was Joe and he was great, he kept our glasses full and kept us laughing as well - he is quite the showman. We toured the operation and got some very good information and then sat in the outdoor area for most of our tasting. It was a sunny day and we really enjoyed playing with the winery dogs and learning about their wines. I would say the highlight for us was the Zinfandel Port and the Chardonnay - we bought a few bottles to take home! I would recommend giving this place a chance, you'll enjoy it.

The tour is actually the tasting room but we’ll worth the visit. Great staff and lovey grounds. Excellent wines. Fun and informative.

We stopped here on our first stop on a winery tour. I enjoyed it! We really learned alot about wine making! We brought home 4 bottles! The outside area was very nice.

We stopped here as part of the Sonoma Valley Wine Trolley experience, and it was a really neat stop. This was the only place where we learned about how the wine is made, and I thought it was interesting. I definitely learned a few things!

We had a little tour while we tried a few of the wines, and then we finished our tasting in their lovely outside area. The wines themselves were not particularly memorable for me, but the overall experience definitely was! I enjoyed our time here and would recommend.

Well, the Mayo Winery wasn't great nor was it bad, just ok. The guy that was the host(I think his name was Bob)of the tasting was great! That made up for a lot of the shortcomings of the winery. I joined their wine club and bought 6 bottles and had them shipped to me in Oklahoma. That's where the troubles started, it was to be at my house on a Wed, and it didn't show up, I called them on two occasions, on my second call to them, I was hoping they would say, they would put a stop to that first shipment, and send me out fresh bottles. No, they wanted me to keep the old bottles, that were sitting around in a warehouse for seven days or so, and if you know wine that may not be good! I'm all for the small family-run businesses, but they need to step up their processes.

Nice guy who ran the intro session but frankly the wines just weren’t very good. Pretty little patio but it felt sort of stuck alongside the highway. We went as part of a tour and felt the neither the wines nor the experience were worth the tasting fee.

The only positive part of our experience was that they accommodated a tasting during a time of reservations only. Then again, I wish they would have not done so. I cannot say it was the least bit enjoyable wine tasting. None of the wines were acceptable andI wish they had a spitoon for an expectorant. Walked away incredibly disappointed, which I have never done.

We stopped by for a glass of wine, they have a nice patio but no view. Prices are ok, not too bad. The guy who served us was very intense and told me they won’t have any wine I will like since I told him I like sweet ones... weird experience but nice patio and still had a good time.
