Of the 10 or so wineries we tasted over a couple days, we were really impressed with RY. Impressed to the point of signing up for the club. You'll find much larger fancier tasting rooms elsewhere and although the grounds are beautiful, there's no high up expansive views of the valley. This is a straight up winery that bottles what... This tasting room was recommended by another tasting room. It is located in a beautiful area. It is somewhat remote, but not too far from 101 and Healdsburg. The tasting room was small, but we were the only ones there. We tried a good range of wines, which were all excellent. They are a large grape grower with small wine... More

Stunning grounds and history surround this winery. The young family has grown grapes since 1963 but only in the past few years have made their own wines out of 5% of their growth. This means they get to keep the best. There chards are top notch along with the 100% malbec and fantastic cabs. On a quiet Sunday there were... More

We recently did a few days in wine country and this place stood out as one of the great highlights. We spent a couple hours outside enjoying the beautiful scenery in between our tastes. Tina stood out as extremely personable and very well versed in talking through the RY wines. We had a great time enjoying her company along with... More

We searched Sonoma county during our week stay and were introduced to this winery by our tour guide Raymond of Wine Cube tours. it turned to be our favorite Cabernet Sauvignon tasting of the trip so became wine club members. I think this will be a long, happy relationship!

Robert Young was recommended to us as a place to try great Chardonnay and Cab. The wines were very good and the staff at the tasting room was great!! He was very informative and took the time to explain so much more than just the wine we were tasting but the history of the region as well as the economics... More

Small vineyard, very lovely wine, a shame we can't get it in Canada. Very small batches but really good, red and white. Nice small but lovely tasting room and very nice staffer. Great to be able to see into the barrel room.

We had a greaat time here at RYW. The staff was awesome, very helpful, with some good education time and certainly solid knowledge. They took us into the cave for a tour and finished with us signing up for a membership. All fo the wines and not one bad one in the bunch. Everyone loved EVERY wine poured. That did... More

This little winery provides the best grapes to some of the most well known wineries In the area. However when they decided to make their own wine from their grapes they produced a wonderful Chardonay and Malbec . One has to go off the beaten track to find it but well worth the ride and the scenery. The person working... More
