I go to the Muckenthaler quite a bit, especially for the special music events that are sponsored, which many of them are free. Their community amphitheater is really nice, there are even small tables so that you can bring your own food, and in many cases by food at the venue. When food is available it is always from local vendors, often with some of the proceeds from sales going to local charities. I highly recommend that you check it out.

There is such a variety of events at the Muckenthaler throughout the year. I love the 2 day car show in May-some true pieces of art. The Gallery show openings are fun. You really need to check out their calendar to appreciate all the different things they bring to the Muck - the music, dance, jazz. And I hear there will be plays again on the outdoor stage! The gift shop has some wonderful items for sale.

This was my first (and last) experience at the Muckenthaler. We drove a long distance to see the adult puppet show. We were invited to make a sock puppet when we arrived...very juvenile. Then the show didn't start until a half an hour late!! Seriously, I should have left then. The first puppet was only seen by 3 people in the front row, the second "act" was not seen by anyone as it was too small, too dark, too....Then the sock puppet videos were not funny, teenage stuff at best. Sock puppet porn is in very poor taste. One woman left early and asked for her money back. Wish we had left then. We stayed through an hour and then got up. The director of the facility introduced this stuff so he knew it was amateur night. Don't charge the public to see you guys play at "art".

This is a hidden gem in Fullerton - beautiful house on a lovely garden slope. There are often various events held here and I try to look for the concerts. Very Small stadium seating - great view from every seat. Small tables ideal for holding your wine glass.

The Muckenthaler center has offered tours, performances, holiday arts and crafts and a wonderful venue for weddings for years. There is very little need for extra decor. The lush grounds supply their own natural beauty. The center offers classes for all ages, Jazz festivals, classic car festival, silent film with music viewings, as well as management conferences for local businesses to network and strengthen their ties in the community

The 18-room Mediterranean-style house was built in 1924 for the Muckenthaler family. While the mansion is beautiful, its main purpose today is art gallery and cultural center. On the day we visited, the exhibit was paper art, which was unusual, varied, and quite interesting. The site includes an outdoor ampitheatre for concerts and presentations. By donation.

We were here for a lovely outdoor wedding, and found the exhibit in the home to be quite interesting. The center hosts a lot of acitivities year round, so it is best to look at their calendar of events before going. They sponsor various art shows and classes, a classic car show, and numerous others, along with having a performing arts stage where quite a few musical and theatric shows are held. It is also available to host private events as well. The exhibits in the gallery are free, but the various special programs require tickets.

The building sits on a hill in a beautiful park but we could't get in. It was a nice drive by to see the building and grounds.

Limited run February to April so have a look. Show’s works are weighted toward abstract expressionism if that’s the proper term. Edgy is another descriptor. Go visit to challenge your notion of what paintings can look like.
Went to the center with relative who lives nearby and he’d heard of place as wedding venue but never been. This historic home has expansive grounds and a theater so there are ongoing programs throughout the year. Vintage car shows, theater, ceramics, follow up talks by artists to name a few.
