Great museum

I have visited the Meux home and have also volunteered there for several years with my special needs students. Great community resource and great volunteer staff.

Interesting to hear * learn about the home and the family that originally lived in this home. In some ways quite ahead of it's time & sometimes was of the late 1800's & early 1900's. Worth the time to see & enjoy.

Went to visit the house as a chaperone for a school field trip. Nice to see the historical building along with how they lived back then. Original household items are still in the house, for example, the wallpaper is still original and they ask you to keep your hands off to preserve it. A trip back to historical times.

The restoration was excellent and the tour was very informative. We loved learning about the Meux family and seeing how the family lived and functioned in the 1800s. This is one of the highlights of Fresno and it is too bad more historic houses weren't saved in Fresno. The Fresno downtown needs more places like this.

I've been here many years ago touring the grounds & home. Most recently I attended a baby shower in the garden. It was the most beautiful setting & turned out be one of the most memorable functions I've attended.

What beautiful preservation, and restoration of a rich part of our valley's history. There are many original pieces of furniture, books, photo's and keepsakes. A must see! Open Friday-Sunday 12-3 pm

This museum is sure to take you back to the horse and buggy days in Fresno. The story of the well to do family who use to own the home is fascinating. You'll see how this home was beyond its years. I don't want to say too much but you won't be disappointed. I encourage to make a trip to... More
