We had half a day to kill and this one came out the TripAdvisor hat being fairly close to where we were staying. We paid the $5 to drive and park by the visitors centre and from here we traversed the three hill climbs and circumnavigated the lagoons using the boardwalk. You have to be fairly mobile to get to... I always love a visit to Coyote hill, it is an oasis of calm in the hustle bustle of life. We take our own food and beverages as there is no cafeteria on site. Also the visitor center is closed on Monday and Tuesday. It can get a bit crowded on weekends.

this is my fav local outdoor as the trails are on the bay shore, give you enough privacy and the whole park is just very close by. You can walk, bike or hike on your pace, fresh air and the beautiful scenary spread of the bay with its bridges. And of course, this is the only place with less crowds... More

Coyote Hills has a numerous hiking trails with a variety of intensities. Almost all trails provide you with spectacular views of the San Francisco Bay as well as hundreds birds on the Pacific Flyway. It's a lovely amenity in the East Bay / Fremont. Its only drawback is the size of its crowds on weekends and holidays. But you can... More

The place has very good trails around hills with good combination of challenging and easy walking. Walking up the hills will give you a spectacular view of the bay. If the up hill walking is too much for you, there are some trails are very flat. You can pick the trail based on your preference. There is also big marsh... More

We hike at Coyote Hills quite often. This is a very pretty park with a variety of hiking trails along the Bay and the wetlands. We view many shore birds and wildlife during our hikes. This is one of our favorite East Bay Parks. They also have some nice picnic areas, a park store and small museum, a group camp... More

Nice local park with great trails and views of the bay. Good elevation changes for a relatively small area. Good place to be able to see several different ecosystems.

I have been to Coyote Hills during every season. This place has it all & for every age group. If you are looking for a short nice nature walk or a 3-4 hr hike or a biking trail. Great views, breeze and birds.
