Went in tentative but really enjoyed it.

Yes, it was a little smelly and yes, it could use a little air. A few of the cages were a little smaller than I would have liked them to be but it was a great place for the kids... read more

Couldn't have been better. Boys loved seeing all the creatures and staff was very patient and generous with their time.

I was a bit dubious when I saw it was located in a shopping center in Fountain Valley. Thinking it would be a small, uninteresting place, I went in with trepidation. WHAT A DELIGHT. The turtle pond is right by the entrance. You can buy food and feed the turtles using a special long tool. A real treat for the... More

As a last minute event our friend suggested going to The Reptile Zoo prior to our long travel evening with 2 young children. I think my son enjoyed the Reptile Zoo more than he did Disneyland! He ran from cage to cage pointing at all the neat creatures. We have been to several zoos and haven't even seen 1/2 the... More

Based on Yelp reviews, we decided to try this place out. We took our 2 year old daughter to this zoo. The first impression was surprised from the outside, it just looks like a regular 'pet shop'. It seems so small and had nothing interesting. But once we opened the door, we couldn't believe how many animals they got in... More

Our five year old granddaughter is visiting from Colorado and her aunt took her to Prehistoric pets this morning (It opens at 11:00 AM) where she really enjoyed the visit. Snakes, lizard and other reptiles were on display. Lots of tortoises swell. I highly recommend this attraction for anyone but especially familys.

Not what we expected. Took out grandson and were very disappointed. The staff did not offer any help or explanation of exhibits. Also, the exhibits were dirty and smelled. Not worth the money.

We took our grandson to the zoo because he likes everything reptilian. He was not disappointed. The collection is very extensive to view and sells various species and supplies. You can schedule a group visit for birthdays or other kid's events. Bring your own food and they provide a lecture room and dining room. The premises are a little tacky... More

Went with groupon ticket...was not a zoo! Please change name, misleading...More of a store where you can hold some of the animals. We were there less than a 1/2 hour.

We go with our grandchild 2-3 times a month. A large staff love reptiles, know a lot, share their knowledge and are generous with their time. Costs very little.
