Once the summer crowds are gone, the lake is magnificent. Getting there is easy and no trouble for a car.

bring floating devices to float in the lake. The boat dock side is less crowded. Can talk a nice walk part way or all around the lake. Stay away from where boats are trying to put into the water and wear water shoes.

We LOVE the Forest Service’s site!!!!Dog friendly. Nice trail around lake. Nice swimming beach (wear your suit!)! Looks like a great place to camp and boat.

this is a great place to go to just relax, of course, fishing/ park at DAM AND FOLLOW TRAIL TO THE POINT. CADDIE CORNER TO THE BOAT RAMP... also , 1st point after the dam parking, on the trail before1st cove..

5 mile around the lake for a quick day hike. They have since paved the trail from the boat ramp to the camp sites. so it is accessible for more people and bikes.

Dogs are allowed away from the beach.

Yes as long as you stay under 5 mph. So not really worth it unless it is a fishing boat.
