The Sugar Pine Railroad is a nice excursion between Oakhurst/Bass Lake area and the south gate of Yosemite. If you've ever been on a mountain railroad like this in Colorado or similar places, this one is much shorter in time. The entire trip is about...More

Took the logging steam train into the Sierra National Forest. The route follows the route taken by early logging trains. The steam engine is a huge, powerful engine that goes through the forest while the conductor tells you about the history of the logging industry....More

This is an hour-long ride on a narrow gauge railroad. It not exciting but is something different to do. I would recommend it if you are in the area.

Had a great time on the moonlight train ride. Definitely recommend this ride. The highlight was Engine 10. If you are into trains, you have to see the shay drive up close. Just incredible. Look forward to going back during the day and ride again.

Fun to go and ride the old train. The dinner cruise is my favorite. A great steak dinner prepared over a grill with all the fix'ins and then a ride into the forest on the cars pulled by the steam engine. We try to go...More

There's a little something for the whole family. History buffs will enjoy riding on the original narrow gauge rails that were used her during the logging period that started California's boom. After riding the train through scenic sugar pine woods, enjoy a BBQ lunch serves...More

We arrived and took a chance on the evening tour. The ambiance was great with a local band, great quality food and a decent (albeit short) train journey into the woods. A great sing along in the woods with the band and then back on...More

Both are great. I sat in the covered area because I didn't want to get sunburnt. :)
