This was my family's first time ever seeing redwoods, so we may have been easily awed, but we found the Grove Loop Trail to be an incredible experience. It's very humbling to walk among these giants. The trails were easy to walk, and even though...More

Number one thing to do in Santa Cruz -- the redwood loop in Henry Cowell. It's a flat half mile on a maintained, wide path through the redwoods that anyone can manage. Strollers are fine. There are places to stop and see a tree that...More

We have been going here for several years with our family. I never get tired of seeing these beautiful trees. My husband isn't a real hiker, so this park is great for him. Even though it's an easy trail, you can still see the big,...More

Our trip to Santa Cruz led us to this great little gem. Local friends had identified it and it was well worth the adventure. Great fun.

We stopped by for a quick visit. Took the .8 mile walk though the redwood grove, visited the charming roaring camp railroad station, although unfortunately we were too late to catch the train.

Ok, I have to admit that this park is only 10 minutes from my house. Still, it was really quite fun camping there. I went for a few nights myself and then with my wife the following week. The campground has bathrooms, water, trash, and...More

Ive never had trouble parking at this park. Many people park out on the highway so they dont have to pay for parking.

Can you park overnight in this park without a reservation? I have a Honda Element and plan to sleep in the car after a wedding nearby.
