Lots of big beautiful redwoods to see on this really long but gorgeous drive. Parts of the road were closed due to heavy rains & slides but 101 is easily to get on & off. Lots of great attractions along the way for the kids (young & old) We were 3 adults & 3 kids traveling to see redwoods and... More

It has been so long since we've seen this and the Redwood Highway is still very special. The only downside this time was the remnants of the winter storms of 2017

If you have never been or like me adventure all the time. Redwoods are such an awesome place to explore. This highway has so many things and places to see, I never have any problems finding new places to explore or go to my favorites.

Easy off & on tho see portions of this great scenic road. The giant trees can easily be hit by your car of you're not careful. There are some pull-offs, we snapped pictures often!

Make sure to take the side road through the Avenue of the Giants! The road runs parallel to the highway but you really get close to the trees. We went in winter so it was not busy.

Seriously! Hug a tree, go try and wrap your arms around a 3000 year old tree. There's nothing like it in the world. It's like nothing you've ever done before! There are 3 trees along the redwood highway that you can drive through. Be brave! A Dodge charger fits. 😀

The Redwood Highway is a must see. Be sure to stop at the Visitor's Center for info on the history and geography of the area. A walk among the giant trees is a must.

After driving down the Oregon Coast the contrast to driving through some huge trees is simply spectacular. We found the road surface in excellent conditions. It is mostly a high speed road along Hwy 101, but has some sections where you are literally navigating around the huge trees.

A drive through the redwoods with stunning views, it is highly recommended for a sunny day when the fog does not get in the way of the views.

Make sure you do the Avenue of the Giants drive. It goes right next to the highway and does not add much time at all.
