There are historical buildings, and lots of old trees, and a convenient location! Every year the Escondido High School reunion of classes who graduated 50+ years ago meets here. Don't miss it if you are an EHS graduate!!

Limited visit due to bldgs not available at all times. I would have preferred the train to be as it was instead of a huge train replication display inside.

We went to this park for the Grape Festival. We enjoyed the few booths, we had hoped for a lot more. Nice museum.

Lot's of Escondido's homeless population hang out here during the day, so I wouldn't feel so good about taking children here, actually. When there is a special event going on at Grape Day Park, it's fine. But otherwise, most of us locals don't think of...More

Always fun to visit this park which adjoins the Escondido Center for the Arts and the Escondido City Hall - at the center of Escondido. Visit the Historical Society museum in the old train depot when it is open on weekends to see historical photos...More

A very nice park and grounds with lots of interesting things. But maybe a bit worrisome for some because it seems to be the daytime gathering spot for homeless. Would definitely not go there at night with youngsters.

It is still fantastic to watch the 4th of July fireworks from Grape Day Park... It is like a flashback from my childhood 60 years ago. I love the sense of community and fun. Escondido does a great job at this event for all the...More

This Central Park-like spot in the heart of downtown Escondido has become a campground for homeless people . Most don't bother you however, be alert. The park has a small playground, historical buildings, old train car, an orange grove and is surrounded by City Hall...More

Not enough play structures for young or older children in the park. Lots of vagrants and homeless hanging out in the park and it doesn't look safe for families. No place to purchase snacks or food.
