One of Encinitas'/San Diego's hidden gems - if you're looking for a way to disconnect, SRF Meditation Gardens is a great way.......beautifully maintained, seasonal blooms all thru the gardens, dramatic views of the ocean from the bluff, Koi ponds and waterfalls - I take family...More

Not too hard to park for these 20 acres of beautifully maintained gardens with 2000 feet of beachfront. The pics say it all. Don’t bring small children (unless very well-behaved), as this a place for quiet meditation.

These gardens are just so beautiful. Levels of gorgeous koi ponds, waterfalls, walkways, sitting areas that lead all the way up to the most amazing view overlooking the ocean. True bliss in a peaceful setting. They also have a great little gift shop full of...More

This place is an oasis in the middle of a busy area. Brief walk to see the ocean. Sit and be silent and watch the geckos run around. A hummingbird buzzed by me and hung out with me. Take a minute to indulge. Free admission...More

The compact garden leads to a wonderful view of the Pacific at the top. A quiet retreat with a surprising variety of gorgeous plants and blooms. Sit and enjoy, and leave a token amount for the privilege.

It is not 'super special' but you never the less come out feeling refreshed. Worth a quick jaunt. The koa are beautiful, some of the largest I have seen.

Great place along the coast. The koi ponds where wonderful and had an extensive variety of fish. Very peaceful and thoughtful place.

The gardens occupy a significant chunk of prime ocean-vieweing real estate in Encinitas. I thought the gardens were nice, perhaps a bit too groomed - a spiritual center, I'd expect them to work more WITH Nature, rather than working nature. It has also ocurred to...More

This center has an absolutely beautiful garden that is open to the public. The only problem is that everybody knows about it! Maybe early morning would provide more solitude....

The Botanical Garden is quite large, and I you want to explore it thoroughly, I would recommend a half-day visit or even a whole day visit if you are very keen on plants. The SRF gardens are not very large, and assuming you... More
