This beach has a natural charm that makes it the perfect place to catch a sunset. The high walls, the water, the rock formation, etc... It was breathtaking. Its not the best beach in the area but still it was great. For that I give...More

We hung out at Swami's for sunset, and it was amazing. Although, the swell was pretty small, so the surf was not to good. The beach was not very crowded and it was beautiful. I would love to go back during the day and surf,...More

Swamis Beach is popular surf location with "modest sized" parking lot with bath rooms. There's a significant set of stairs down to the beach (nearly 200) that's good for a work out. Best accessed by parking on Vulcan Street, using the Swamis Pedestrian underpass of...More

Swami’s beach is a beautiful right point break offering exceptional rides for intermediate-advanced surfers. Next to the self realization fellowship with its iconic lotus flower temple entrance, the combination makes for great sunset photos, walks or a frolic in the sea. Sometimes crowded, always a...More

Great beach. Plenty of area to just stop and relax on. Watch the surfers, shell collecting, soak in the sun. All can be done at that beach.

I usually hate restaurant pancakes ~ because I make better pancakes than most ~ but I had a bite of my boys order and they were VERY good! I wish I would have ordered the pancakes, waffle, or acai bowl (which looked incredible) instead of...More

It's hard to describe the power of the beach and the sound of the waves. The quiet mornings before it is inhabited by others is my favorite time. Yet I have to admit it has an energy with those who come to share it's beauty.

That was my second time in Encinitas, and Swamis is my preferred beach. The view from the parking lot is breathtaking! The cliffs, so beautiful! Not crowded, I think people get intimidated by the stairs to get in the beach.

I visited Swami's Beach several time during my Encinitas visit. I enjoyed the people watching, from families with kids poking around the water's edge to joggers and surfers. Seemed to be a place highly regarded and respected by locals. I spent an hour or so...More

Swami's is magical -- a world-class surf break, a beautiful ashram, a lovely beach, a marine preserve, all in one place. It is particularly beautiful when you are out in the water looking back at the land, or on the clifftop looking at the 180º...More
