We decided to drive on this route which is really a beautiful scenic area with lots of vista stops to check out the views around one. It was not too busy on the roads so we had a good leisurely drive.

We visited Tahoe National Forest in June 2017. This is a beautiful forest area; one of our favorite places to visit it is in the Lake Tahoe area. Its always so nice to see in the summer.
We had a very nice drive from Reno through Tahoe National Forest to Sacramento area. The trees were beautiful with the snow. People were building snow men. Tahoe National Forest is an area of 1362 square miles.
one of my all time favorite towns, charming, quaint, and so beautiful. I visit quite often and the restarants and bars are friendly and nice, also the motels are affordable and clean, I will always come back.

The views, the mountains, the trees, the lakes, and the rivers are all wonderful. The weather was perfect and warm even at night. A must see area to visit and stay in a cabin, a motel, or camp.

The forestry roads are better on my truck than the local gravel paths. We were pleased when we turned off on one to go to the top of the mountain.
