I went to the day spa because it was highly rated. I must have went on the wrong day. I wasn't given a tour of the grounds. I had to walk back and forth to meet my massage therapist. She didn't ask me if anything hurt, if anything specific needed to be worked on, she just went to it. It was an average massage and nothing special. When I checked out, this person basically pushed a clip board in my face and told me to sign. Didn't bother to ask if I had a good experience or not. Then I had to ask her where the showers were since no one bothered to tell me. I went for a soak in the mineral springs but honestly it wasn't anything spectacular. Also, this place is in a sketchy neighborhood. I would say the people that work here don't have excellent customer service skills. The grounds and the environment was ok, but I won't be back. I'm sure there are better day spas in the Palm Springs area.
Tip:Avoid this place.

I enjoyed returning to The Spring Resort and Spa. The last time I was here was pre-covid 2019.~ It has been a regular stop along my road trip route from Oregon to Arizona. Great to spend a couple of nights. I recommend reserving a room like The Courtyard, and pay the extra $. It is relatively private, has its' own soaking tub and a functional kitchenette.~ This room can accomodate 1 person solo or 2. The bed is comfortable. The room had a ceiling fan for air movement and AC as well. There is a decent size fridge with a little freezer,a small sink, microwave, toaster, full size electric kettle, dishes and utensils. ~ There is also a walk in shower and the bathroom is not too small.~ I loved my facial and spot massage package with Yoanna. She knows what she is doing and has knowledge about the care of the skin. She also gives a good massage.~ I like how quiet it is here. A nice relaxing gem of a place.

The Miracle Hill area of Desert Hot Springs (aka the Spa Zone) features quite a few resorts and spas with mineral water pools. I've been to three of them. The Spring is by far the best by every metric, a class of its own, an utterly soothing and refreshing experience that is worth every penny. I've visited the Spring several times over the years both for day use of the spa and as a guest at the hotel. Impeccable is the only word to describe my experience.
WATER: The water of Desert Hot Springs is famous all over the world and for good reason. It is soft as silk, buoyant, soothing and calming. I'm no chemist but when I asked a staff person what makes the water so special, he gave me a list of the mineral content including sulfate, sodium, bicarbonate, chloride, calcium, silica, fluoride and magnesium. Whatever the formula, it's magical. So magical, in fact, that the water of Desert Hot Springs was recently named the Best Water in the World at the 30th Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting.
POOLS: The pools are kept in absolutely perfect condition. And they are open 24/7 for hotel guests. Squeaky clean, the temperatures, chlorine level and cleanliness are monitored constantly. The swimming pool offers plenty of room for laps; there's also an outdoor jacuzzi and partially-enclosed relaxation pool. I love how they light candles near the relaxation pool at night time.
SERVICE: Everyone at the Spring was helpful, courteous and thoughtful. An amazing balance of attention to detail with complete lack of stuffiness.
HOTEL ROOMS: I stayed in the Mountain Suite which includes a kitchenette, patio, its own private entrance and parking spot, and stunning mountain views. Tons of thirsty towels, super clean, and beautifully decorated, I wanted to move in and was already planning what to say to the Sheriff when he came to evict me when I refused to leave. (Reality bites. I left of my own accord, much more relaxed.) Amenities include Spring robe and slippers, hair dryer, and toiletries.
BREAKFAST: Included in your hotel stay, a breakfast of safely prepared foods are available daily from 8-10 am. I was served fruit, hard-boiled free-range eggs, yogurt, pumpernickle bread with cream cheese and jam, oatmeal and granola. Almond milk available, as well as coffee and tea.
PANDEMIC SAFETY: Masks and social distancing were maintained, hand sanitizer was available and all safety protocols honored. Because The Spring is a small, boutique hotel, there is not a chance of running into big crowds. The clientele here tend to be the type that value solitude, so chances of running into overly chatty folks are slim to none.
SPIRITUAL RENEWAL: Words cannot describe the effect of staying at the Spring. Was it watching the Moon and Mars rise in tandem from the jacuzzi? The mineral balance restored in my body? The effects of peace and quiet on my soul? All I know is that the stress of the past year had taken its toll and the Spring helped restore my peace of mind. Thank you.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Spring Resort and Spa...my son and I came to relax after a tough quarter in college...he’s 19-for reference ...we stayed at the Mountain Suite which I highly recommend because it’s plenty big with its own patio - definitely worth the price- don’t think twice. Staff stayed here until 8:45pm because we were late due to traffic (they usually leave at 8:30)- most friendly staff!
Wonderful grounds and the BEST- the mineral pools!! We had the jacuzzi to ourselves the first night and thereafter... I just love it here- definitely plan to come back with my husband!

Very lovely, clean, small hot springs spa and hotel. Couple of different room options. Very nice, helpful staff. Great spa treatments. I felt relaxed and happy when we left.

My husband and I absolutely loved our experience at The Spring. We wanted to celebrate the new year by taking a trip from Palm Springs to have a day of relaxing. We booked the “Desert Cleanse” package and spent 2 1/2 hours being totally pampered after our soak in the mineral springs. My masseuse, DJ, was fabulous and I would highly recommend him. My husband also loved his masseuse as well (I believe her name was Gera). Overall the spa exceeded our expectations and we were highly satisfied.

We came for the day and it was wonderful. I had a 90-minute massage with Liz and a 75-minute facial with Eugenie. Both were fantastic! The grounds are beautifully landscaped, and the environment overall is verdant and peaceful. I forgot to bring a bathing suit, so I didn't soak in any of the mineral baths, but next time I will.

The 3 of us were day spa customers because they had no room vacancies for our dates, but our time there was peaceful and super pleasant. There are 3 mineral pools of different temperatures, 88, 101, and 104 degrees and you can move from one to the other as the mood strikes. The coolest pool, pictured here, is plenty large enough for swimming. There are little seating spots here and there around the grounds for people to enjoy quiet conversation or reading. Guests are requested to keep their voices low so as not to disturb or distract others. The massage therapists (our main reason for going) are superbly skilled.
