EVER HEAR THE SAYING... YOU CANT MAKE A SECOND FIRST IMPRESSION. The Del Mar Race Track should realize that their venue’s first impression begins with their entry gate and parking attendants. Some are very nice and helpful, but we experienced the proverbial bad egg, that...More

Del Mar was on my bucket list of racetracks to visit. Wonderfully maintained 1930's era track. Meet all my expectations. A must go to, if you're a horse racing fan.

love DM race track, clean, classy and fun to enjoy horse racing and people watching. Bonus concerts seem to be all the time and the entry cost is affordable for everyone.

We went for the Sunday Turf Club event, where the general public can access the Turf Club and for $100 get a 4-course meal and unlimited champagne or bloody mary's. This was our 3rd year and we really enjoyed it again. The wait staff are...More

We had never been to a race track before and went as part of a company-sponsored outing. Access off the I-5 was tricky—difficult to get in the correct lane. The parking lot is vast, but there are shuttles if you don’t want to walk in....More

A fun afternoon watching the races. Enjoyed the food and drink. Races are run about every 30 minutes. We did not know how to bet, got lots of help from info at the track. Did ok overall. Fun way to spend an afternoon.

The only time that there is a formal dress code is opening day, the rest of the year you can find most people dress very casual. Yet if it’s a girls day and you plan on lunch at the track dressing up is fun as well 👍

The fairgrounds have ample parking. There is a fee which may vary by event. I'd check the Kaboo Music Festival or Del Mar Fairground website for details. Hope this helps.
