This is a very clean beach and nice to walk on from the Doubletree Hilton in Dana Point, CA.. Close off the I-5 and PCH HWY's.. Parking 6am to 10pm!! Has limited Ruffing/Tent Camping spots..

Calm and consistent waves make Doheny perfect to learn surfing! Great snack shack but a very stoney beach.

Beautiful beach park, small waves good for beginning surfers and stand up paddle boarders. Rocky beach, so take water socks. Camp ground adjacent to the beach great for weekend RV folks.

No really a swimming beach for kids. Very fun watching the pelican's "fish" and napping while listening to the shore break waves crash.

The Beach Boys didn't sing about this place because it was bad. It's a beautiful, quintessential California beach. Our eight year old daughter took her first surf lesson here and loved it.

Each Campsite has it's own raised steel circular ring with a cooking grate that takes up 1/3 on top opening. You can burn wood inside the ring for a camp fire or for cooking.

Yes they have parking for large vehicles such as RVs.
Is this a place to go to just spend the day or a few hours at the beach? (no camping)

Yes this is a great place to enjoy the beach, rent bikes and beach items. Full facilities, easy beach access and walking distance to marina too. Enjoy your visit!
