Nice and clean beach -lots of sand, volleyball courts, showers and concessions. Water is relatively clean; upon entering the water, lots of rocks/cobblestones at low tide-maybe check the tide charts ahead! Good surf when other places are too big, primarily in the summer!

This beach was within walking distance of our hotel. It is a nice family beach with lots of activities going on and picnics. The beach itself is pretty busy and its rocky with some drop-off's heading into the ocean.

Nice beach, great facilities and close to town and harbor. I was surprised with the coldness of the water, but many people were in the water so it is just probably the Florida in me. I love a beach with freshwater showers, lots of lifeguards,...More

We ride our bikes here on many summer days. Lots of sand, friendly people, and areas to picnic. Very family friendly. There is a food court or you can bring your own. Great place to people watch, swim, relax.

We were at Doheny State beach and Doubletree visiting family. What a beautiful beach with sugar sand beaches. We went out on paddle boards and kayaks, sawing all kinds of birds and amazing views of the California coastline. If you get a chance, visit this...More

Great beach with full ammenities! However, get there early and also check to make sure there aren't any events happening that will make parking impossible. We had to wait 20+ minutes for a parking space to open up after we had already paid for the...More

Each Campsite has it's own raised steel circular ring with a cooking grate that takes up 1/3 on top opening. You can burn wood inside the ring for a camp fire or for cooking.
