Just took a short rest here after doing quite a bit of walking around Coronado, its located close to The Hotel Del and the beach. Quite place to pick out a spot and get away from the crowds....nice and clean, well maintained

This park was great! Shade at any given time and lots of room to spread out. No dogs allowed, so the grass is relatively clean!

Not much to do here, unless you plan on doing some yoga or frisbee. It’s a small park with a few historic cannon there and this is where the Memorial Day remembrances begin on Coronado. A good place to just chill out, read a book, picnic lunch, or take a nap. It’s rarely crowded.

Star Park is not really a destination park, but it does make for a nice rest if wandering around Coronado. It is small, but it does have some nice artwork, cannons, and tributes to the military. The Baum House is right across the street which also makes for a nice distraction. There are other parks in Coronado that draws more people, but Star Park does the trick if you need a break.

This is the cutest little spot to take a rest. There are two canons that were donated by General Pendleton. They are interesting to look at. The best part is the walk to the park. It gives you a chance to walk down the neighborhoods. The houses are just so pretty.

This is a circle of monuments, grass, and a view of some of Coronado's historic homes, including "The Wizard of Oz House" where Frank Baum lived.

This was a small park near the beach, with 5 streets heading towards the park this makes up the 5 branches of service. it is a start shaped and has some nice history and tributes. VERY good stop to relax or picnic if yor on a walking tour. . Interesting
that it is located across from historic home of L. Frank Baum, author of The Wizard of Oz. This house is Yellow ( yellow brick road) with Wizard of Oz Dr. over the door. and a wicked witch head mounted on a post by the door.

In 1886, the park design was a star with streets radiating from the star's corners. Today, it is round but the lovely homes (including L. Frank Baum's historic house) still surround the park and the streets still radiate. It is memorable for its tribute to the armed forces and is the site of Memorial Day celebrations.

Two war cannons from previous wars are anchored in the park. Dedication plaques give the history of the pieces. It is close to Coronado Beach and just off Orange Avenue (the main business corridor and "downtown" part of Coronado). There is a rock that bears a tribute to Coronado's fallen warriors.
