Coronado municipal beach has some good facilities including showers and bathrooms. The water is choppy and coolish which is understandable given it's the Pacific Ocean. The sand is relatively clean and the area appeared to be very family friendly. The beach is a short walk to restaurants around Coronado with restaurants from upscale to down to earth. There's parking on... More

The beach walk here is nice, but it can get very crowded with visitors especially during weekend afternoons. The beach itself is well kept and clean. Other than at the Coronado Del Mar Hotel (south) end of the beach, you will walk through about 150 yards of dunes to reach the beach proper. Since the dunes protect against the ravages... More

We have been coming to Coronado every summer for last 10 years! Having said that, you know we love it here! We discovered Coronado one year when my husband planned a trip to Catalina Island. We were so disappointed with the hotel, and beach, we didn't even spend the night...we packed up our things and left a few hours after... More

Might as well hit this beach too as it is almost the same as Coronado beach right around the corner. Perfect place to take a drive or long bike ride. Again one of the top 10 beaches in the USA

Bring a towel, umbrella and lots of sun block because you will love this beach so much you'll want to stay! Word of caution, don't bring alcohol to this beach as it is illegal. You can however disguise with a red cup or any other plastic bottle wink wink.... ;-) The beach is fun for surfing, body boarding or a... More

The beach was uncrowded, pristine, and lovely even in winter. We walked via Loma Street from the downtown area to get a few geocaches and hang out.

Casual strolls during mid-day or sunset seated on the beach are delightful. Enjoy the views next to the Hotel Del Coronado or the old style homes near the beach. You can see for miles!! There are public restrooms.

I'm from the east coast and have seen sunrise over the Atlantic. A bucket list item was to see sun set on the Pacific. This is a beautiful beach area and the Coronado Hotel is amazing. I didn't swim, but sat on the jetty and watched the sun set. Go if you have the chance.

Coronado Beach was recently voted by a top travel magazine the best beach in America. No doubt! The access, closeness to the world-renowned Hotel Del Coronado and the entire Coronado Village, makes this an ideal beach to vacation to or just visit for the day. It is wide, clean and safe. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, so... More

We spent the night at the Gloritta Bay Inn last night and woke up early to walk along the beach walk. It is a beautiful beach with nice walking path where you can walk for miles if you desire. There are nice large sandy areas and there are dunes to walk around. Very peaceful, clean, and beautiful.
