Staying on the beach is nice, but you have to deal with grouchy, old camp hosts who have nothing better to do than ruin your camping experience.

We drove over 200 miles only to be EXTREMELY disappointed! The beach is covered with old dry seaweed which attracts an enormous amount of flies. My husband says that all municipalities have a "Rac-o-Vac" that can clean the beach in about 10 min. Why can't...More

Very windy, too cold to swim. Very large clumps of seaweed all over the beach, and the dried out clumps are full of black bugs. When you do find a place away from the seaweed higher on the beach, the sand is very nice.Nice view...More

We stayed at Silver Strand with our 2 and 5 year old for two nights and 3 days. It was quiet, the staff was very helpful, and all of our camping neighbors were very friendly. We woke up and walked 10 steps to the beach....More

So there are a lot of rvs, however there is a sand hill and once you go over the hill all you see is the ocean and no rvs. I highly recommend going to Coronado beach. Just up the road. You will NOT regret it. Justbto swim... More
