For those that like tucked away gardens and great food, this would be the perfect place for an afternoon to escape the hustle and bustle of life. Enjoyable food in a unique setting, with lots to see before, during and after dining. Lunch is impeccable, service is attentive and the atmosphere is most enjoyable in a garden that changes seasonally.... More

This was our second visit to the gardens. It is a beautiful, well kept garden. We visit on Saturday so that we may also enjoy the crepe restaurant.

Gourmet cafe and impeccable maintenance complement the lovely gardens. Beds are organized by climate-- dry desert to lush tropical. Diverse varieties of palms, ferns, fuschias and many more plant species call out for a lingering inspection. The pelican sculpture evokes a smile and the colorful koi invite contemplation. Special events in the garden attract regular visits from locals. 2015 featured... More

Perfect location for a quiet respite strolling through the immaculate gardens. There is a cafe that serves fresh California produce with a French flair. Cafe Jardin is open from 11 am to 2 pm Monday through Friday and they also serve Sunday brunch.

A special place in the middle of the city. Beautiful gardens. would be a good place with a walker. Lunch is delicious, eating outside overlooking the gardens. Gourmet food, a little pricey, but worth the splurge. Very nice gift shop, items at all price ranges. Two parking lots. I try to go during the week, imagine weekends are very busy.... More

People don't know it but they offer champagne on the weekends. I believe it's only available from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm - Saturday and Sunday only. We love to sit with a glass of bubbly, among the flowers and plants. It's so relaxing. Highly recommend.

I discovered Sherman Gardens 12 years ago on our first vacation to Newport Beach and have been back every year since. You would never believe this gorgeous garden area is just a few acres as the layout, well appointed greenery and flowers are magnificent! Every year is a little bit different and I enjoy the additions. Also a very nice... More

The Sherman Gardens & Library, at Dahlia & 2nd, are a treasure in the middle of a now busy community. In 1955, Mr. Arnold Haskell, bless him, purchased Norman's Nursery which included an adobe building. His concept for the property was for a beautiful garden, open to the public, a serene oasis, 'a respite from the stress and pressures of... More

Best to go to the restaurant and you get to see the garden basically free. Be there before 3 or it closes. The adobe has 1920s paintings, LA history, and books for use and research onsite. It is a refreshing spot with free parking right on PCH.
